IEPN - Israeli-European Policy Network Conference: Turkish-Israel Relations: the role of the EU and the Impact on the Mediterranean, Barcelona, April 11-12, 2011.
High-level politicians, academics and researchers from Europe and Israel participated at the IEPN - Israeli-European Policy Network Meeting. During the meeting, the Israeli, the Turkish and the European Perspectives were presented and discussed.

Macro Center for Political Economics participated in Workshop organized by Supportive Community – Women's Business Development Center, Academic College Tel Aviv Yaffo, April 4, 2011.
Ziv Rubin represented Macro Center for Political Economics at the Workshop on the subject of Pension Provision for Women organized by Supportive Community – Women's Business Development Center.
During the Workshop Ziv Rubin and Hagar Tzameret-Kertcher presented their article edited in the framework of the Zichron Yaakov Initiative: "The Influence of Child Care on the Women's Pension Savings".  

OECD, the Government's Policy and Social Gaps: Workshop on the Subject: Social Policy for Israel, February 18, 2011, Berl Katznelson Foundation.
MK Itzhak Herzog, Colette Avital and Nadia Chilu (former MK's) and young newcomers on the political scene: Michal Biran and Esti Kirmeier participated at the Workshop. Dr. Roby Nathanson presented a Presentation on the subject of the Government's Policy and social Gaps.

Steering Committee Meeting in framework of Vocational Training Project, February 17, 2011, Herzliya. Subject of the Meeting: Summary of the Project 2010, Plans for the year 2011.
During the meeting, Dr. Roby Nathanson and Ro'ee Levy presented the Final Report regarding Vocational Training for young people in Israel for the year 2010 and the Plans of the Project for year 2011. Focus for the year 2011 is the subject: Long Life Learning. After the presentation a Discussion about Political Recommendations for Decision Makers and methods of dissemination of last year's results took place.
   

The Tax Burden and Division of Income in Israel: Debate on the Subject took place on February 11, 2011, Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv.
During the Debate Dr. Roby Nathanson presented a presentation on the subject of the Tax Burden and the Division of Income in Israel.

Discussion of Vocational Training Steering Committee, November 30, 2010, Herzliya: Analysis and Forecast of Changes in the Israeli Labour Market - Possible Models and Applications in Israel.
During the  Meeting, Dr. Roby Nathanson and Ro'ee Levy gave a Presentation on the topic: "Analysis and Forecast of Changes in the Israeli Labour Market - Possible Models and Applications in Israel". Following the presentation was a discussion concerning practical recommendations for decision-makers.

Roundtable Discussion of Zichron Yaacov Initiative Steering Committee, November 17, 2010, at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Herzliya.
A new economic analysis was presented by Ro'ee Levi and Hagar Tzameret-Kertcher, MACRO Institute for Political Economics.Topic of the study was: “Creation of green jobs by using dry waste based on input – output analysis”. The study looked at the effect of changes in waste treatment on employment. The study was analysed in an in-depth article in the Jerusalem Post, November 18: "For every 1000 tons recycled, 5 jobs may be created"
